Phenomenology of Εk beyond Leading Logarithms

چکیده

I present the QCD short distance coefficient η3 of the ∆S = 2 hamiltonian in the next-to-leading order (NLO) of renormalization group improved perturbation theory. Since now all QCD-factors η1, η2 and η3 are known with NLO accuracy, a much higher precision in the analysis of εK can be achieved. The CKM phase δ, |Vtd| and the mass difference ∆mBs in the B 0 s −B 0 s-system are predicted from the measured values of εK and ∆mBd . Finally I briefly look at the KL−KS -mass difference. This work has been done in collaboration with Stefan Herrlich.

The charm - quark contribution to ε K and ∆

Neutral Kaon mixing plays an important role in the phenomenology of the standard model and its extensions because of its sensitivity to high-energy scales. In particular εK , parameterising indirect CP violation in the neutral Kaon system, serves as an important constraint on models of new physics and is well suited for the indirect search for heavy new particles. In order to exploit this poten...

M K and ε K in SUSY at the Next - to - Leading order

We perform a Next-to-Leading order analysis of ∆S = 2 processes beyond the Standard Model. Combining the recently computed NLO anomalous dimensions and the B parameters of the most general ∆S = 2 effective Hamiltonian, we give an analytic formula for ∆MK and εK in terms of the Wilson coefficients at the high energy scale. This expression can be used for any extension of the Standard Model with ...

QCD Factors a 1 and a 2 Beyond Leading Logarithms versus Factorization in Non - leptonic Heavy Meson Decays ∗

We calculate the QCD factors a1 and a2, entering the tests of factorization in nonleptonic heavy meson decays, beyond the leading logarithmic approximation in three renormalization schemes (NDR, HV, DRED). We investigate their μ–dependence and the renormalization scheme dependence. We point out that a1 for B-decays depends very weakly on ΛMS, μ and the choice of the renormalization scheme. For ...

Indirect CP–Violation in the Neutral Kaon System Beyond Leading Logarithms and related topics

One of the least accurate tested sectors of the Standard Model of elementary particles is the quark mixing mechanism. It encodes the transitions between different quark families in weak charged–current decays in terms of the Cabibbo–Kobayashi–Maskawa–matrix VCKM . A complex phase δ in this matrix is the only possible source of the violation of the CP– symmetry in the Standard Model. This fact m...

Εk/εk at Next-to-leading in 1/nc and to Lowest Order Chpt

Recent reviews and predictions for this quantity in the Standard Model and earlier references are in . Here, we report on a calculation 3 of this quantity in the chiral limit and next-to-leading (NLO) order in 1/Nc. We also discuss the changes when the known chiral corrections -final state interactions (FSI) and π0 − η mixingare included. Direct CP-violation in the K → ππ decay amplitudes is pa...
